Hoboken, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team is set for the national stage, traveling to Massachusetts for the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship, which begins Saturday.

The Ducks (15-4) will square off with Saint Joseph's-Maine at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pratt Field at Lehrman Stadium on the campus of Amherst College. Stevens secured its NCAA berth by capturing its fifth consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom title, cruising to a 25-8 victory over DeSales University in Saturday's championship game. The host Mammoths will face the winner Sunday at 1 p.m.

Stevens is led by Alina Friz, who has totaled 98 points and is two away from becoming the fifth player in program history to reach 100 points in a season. Friz is tied with Stefanie Sellitto for the team lead with 60 goals and is level with Eran Gleason with a team-best 26 caused turnovers. Sellitto rewrote the record book this season, recording her 500th career draw control and setting the single-game program record with 19 in the MAC Freedom Championship Game against DeSales. Maddie Hogan was named MAC Freedom Tournament MVP and ranks third on the team with 76 points and 54 goals.

The Monks enter the tournament at 17-3 and are riding a 16-game winning streak. Saint Joseph's-Maine went 13-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play and topped Emmanuel College 12-3 in the championship game. Celia Melanson ranks second in Division III with 83 assists, while Ella Highbarger and Taylor Dumond lead the team with 65 goals apiece. Defensively, Ava Molineaux has caused 54 turnovers, while Julia Price has made 71 saves in goal.
