Hoboken, N.J. – Stevens Institute of Technology Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics and Recreation Russell Rogers announced the hiring of Lauren Foote as Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine Wednesday.
 
Foote arrives on Castle Point after serving as the Head Athletic Trainer and Senior Woman Administrator at Sarah Lawrence College since January 2022. In that role, Foote provided comprehensive sports medicine services for more than 200 student-athletes, maintained electronic health records and collaborated with the team physician and strength and conditioning staff to coordinate student-athlete care. Foote also managed third-party insurance claims and billing while serving on the college's Student of Concern Care Team.

We look forward to the contributions she will make in advancing our sports medicine services and supporting the overall success and well-being of our student-athletes."
 
In addition to overseeing Sarah Lawrence's sports medicine operations, Foote served as the department's Senior Woman Administrator and organized the inaugural Women's Athletic Leadership Summit, which brought together approximately 50 participants. Foote's professional development experience includes participation in the NCAA Institute for Administrative Advancement, the NCAA Effective Facilitation Workshop, the NCAA Division III Senior Woman Administrator Program, the NCAA Regional Rules Seminar and the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum. In January 2026, Foote received the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators Emerging Athletic Administrator Award.
Foote earned a Master of Sports Leadership Studies from Northeastern University in 2023, concentrating in collegiate and professional sports administration. Foote received a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Duquesne University in 2021 and completed Cornell University's Leadership Essentials Certificate program in 2024.
 
A board-certified athletic trainer, Foote holds athletic training licenses in New Jersey and New York and is a certified American Red Cross Basic Life Support provider. Foote is also a certified Functional Movement Techniques Mobility Specialist and personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. During clinical rotations, Foote worked with student-athletes across numerous sports at Duquesne University, La Roche University, Fox Chapel Area High School and North Hills High School. That experience included injury prevention and evaluation, emergency care, rehabilitation programming, concussion management and return-to-play protocols.
