ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team earned seven out of a possible nine first-place votes, earning the top spot in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom preseason coaches' poll, as unveiled by the conference office Wednesday.
The three-time defending conference champion Ducks earned 63 points, 10 points clear of DeSales. Lebanon Valley finished third in the vote with 51 points, claiming the two remaining first-place votes, and Misericordia totaled 40 points and slotted into fourth.

The Ducks were dominant through the 2025 regular season, in and out of MAC Freedom play, climbing into the Top 10 after an 8-0 start before outscoring conference opposition 30-4 during the regular season, culminating in a third straight MAC Freedom championship, ending the season 18-3, falling one win shy of the single-season team record while tying the single-season record for fewest losses.
