Stevens Places Nine on Spring All-MAC Sportsmanship Team

NEWTOWN, Pa. (May 16, 2024)  – The Stevens Institute of Technology Department of Athletics saw a total of nine student-athletes named to the spring Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) All-Sportsmanship Team, the league office announced Thursday.

The Spring MAC All-Sportsmanship Team team includes one student-athlete from each institution for each sport, including baseball, men's golf, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's outdoor track & field, women's outdoor track & field, softball, men's tennis, and softball.

Senior Axel Johnson (Baseball), sophomore Brock Dickson (Men's Golf), senior Paddy Phelps (Men's Lacrosse), junior Rebecca Guerra (Women's Lacrosse), senior Andrew Anantharajah (Men's Outdoor Track & Field), graduate student Ashley Muliawan (Women's Outdoor Track & Field), senior Carolyn Yahn (Softball), junior Vivek Harinarayan (Men's Tennis), and junior Emma Eguia (Softball) were each recognized as student-athletes who exemplify great character and displayed exceptional sportsmanship on and off the field.

The MAC All-Sportsmanship Teams recognize student-athletes who exemplify great character and display exceptional sportsmanship both on and off the field. They represent their team, institution and the conference with high integrity, and exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches and opponents. They are humble and hold themselves with pride, competing at the same level of intensity no matter who the competition is, or outcome of the contest. These student-athletes were selected by the head coaches and student-athletes from their respective teams. 

The nine Ducks were part of a contingent of 152 student-athletes selected by their head coaches to the Spring MAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
