SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Union College scored the final three goals of the game to rally past Stevens Institute of Technology, 9-7 in a non-conference men's lacrosse game on Wednesday night.  Matt Murphy's goal with 4:06 left in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winning goal for the Dutchmen.

The teams were tied 2-2 after the first quarter and 4-4 at halftime.  Freshman midfielder Jay Wells (North Bennington, Vt./Mount Anthony Union) scored both Stevens goals in the first quarter while freshman Tom DiLemmo (Jefferson, N.J./Jefferson Township) scored twice in the second quarter.

The Ducks scored twice in the third quarter to build a 6-5 lead entering the final period.  The teams were tied twice in the fourth quarter before Murphy scored his third goal of the game with 4:06 left to give Union its first lead since the opening quarter.  Andy West added an insurance goal with 1:20 remaining.

Will Tamm made 20 saves in a big effort for the Dutchmen while Matt Cannon stopped seven shots for Stevens.
