Men's Volleyball earns sixth straight win, 3-0 over Polytechnic

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Junior outside hitter Brian Woodworth (San Jose, Calif./Bellarmine Prep) had 11 kills in just two games as the Stevens men's volleyball team earned a 3-0 (30-12, 30-19, 30-27) win over Polytechnic University on Wednesday night in a NECVA Metro Division match.

Stevens, ranked fifth in the AVCA Division III coaches poll for three straight weeks, has won six straight matches, all by 3-0 scores.  The Ducks are 20-2 overall and 5-0 in the NECVA Metro Division.

Sophomore outside hitter Chris Bock (Orlando, Fla./University) had nine kills with just one error in 14 total attempts (.571).  Freshman middle hitters Scott Stone (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) and Will Foley (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) added seven kills apiece.

Senior setter Gerard Aro (Jersey City, N.J./St. Peter's Prep) had 28 assists and a team-leading nine digs.

The Ducks are back in action on Saturday, February 28, when they host Ramapo and Polytechnic in a NECVA Metro tri-match at noon at the Canavan Arena.
