HOBOKEN, N.J. – Junior third baseman Thomas Calistri went 4-for-4 with three home runs and eight runs batted in to lead FDU-Florham to a 21-4 win over Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday in a non-conference game at the Dobbelaar Baseball Field.

FDU-Florham (2-1) scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed.  Sophomore second baseman Jim DaSilva drove in the first run with a fielder’s choice groundout.  He later scored on a wild pitch to give the Devils a 2-0 lead.

Calistri, who also walked twice and reached base in all six straight plate appearances, hit a solo home run in the third inning and three-run home runs in both the fourth and sixth innings.  He added an RBI single in the fifth inning.

FDU-Florham pounded out 17 hits.  The Devils received two hits apiece from senior shortstop Mike Del Vecchio, DaSilva, sophomore left fielder Joe Franzese, senior right fielder Shawn Eickhorst and freshman catcher Brian Komorowski.

Freshman right-hander Glenn Regan scattered six hits over five innings as he earned his first collegiate victory.

Stevens received three hits from sophomore center fielder Tim Meehan (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne).  Junior left fielder Mike Carrano (North Arlington, N.J./North Arlington) added a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Stevens is back in action on Saturday, March 13, when it plays at Salisbury University in the first game of its spring break trip.
