JAMAICA, N.Y. - Sophomore outside hitter Shane Pierson (Newbury Park, Calif./Newbury Park) recorded 10 kills with just one error in 13 attempts to lead the Stevens men's volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-11, 30-14, 30-11) victory over York (N.Y.) College on Wednesday night.

Stevens (2-3) controlled play througout.  No player played more than two games for the Ducks while 10 different players recorded kills.

Junior outside hitter Greg Higgins (Kenmore, N.Y./Kenmore West) contributed seven kills with one error in 10 attempts.  Junior outside hitter Chris Bock (Orlando, Fla./University) led the Ducks with five service aces and six digs.  Senior outside hitter Brian Woodworth (San Jose, Calif./Bellarmine Prep) added was a perfect 5-for-5 in kill opportunities while playing only the first game.

Freshman setter Steven Strollo (Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown) had 23 assists in two games.

Stevens is back in action on Saturday, January 29, when it opens play in the Stevens Invitational at 5 p.m.
