HOBOKEN, N.J. (February 15, 2006) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s basketball team improved in four out of five categories in this week’s NCAA Division III statistical rankings. Individually, senior forward Jenna Gambino (Staten Island, N.Y.) ranked No.19 in free-throw percentage with 86.4 percent. Sophomore forward Dora Enright (Longmont, Colo.) ranked No. 32 in rebounds per game with 10.5.
The women remained at No. 9 in field-goal percentage defense (32.0 percent). The team improved to No. 14 in scoring defense, holding their opponents to 51.2 points per game, and No. 19 in rebound margin (+8.5). Stevens also improved to No. 75 in won-lost percentage (72.7) and No. 91 in scoring margin (9.0).
Stevens (16-7) is back in action tonight when it hosts Centenary College in its last regular-season Skyline game at 7 p.m.
