PITTSFORD, N.Y. (October 21, 2012) – Ithaca College won its eighth-consecutive Empire 8 title on Sunday with a 5-0 victory over Stevens Institute of Technology. The Ducks end the fall season 8-4.
 
Ithaca swept the doubles competition but each match could have gone either way. The first doubles score was 9-7 and both twos and threes ended with identical 8-6 scores.
 
The Bombers won at first singles and third singles to clinch the win, and all other matchups were stopped at that point because of postseason rules.
 
Stevens advanced to their fourth-straight Empire 8 Championship Match in 2012 an will begin the spring season in March.
