ROCHESTER, N.Y. (September 29, 2012) – Sophomore Jessica Bourque (Houma, La.) continued her year-long domination at first singles but the Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to the University of Rochester on Saturday. Bourque also factored in the other Ducks victory, an 8-4 decision with Lisa Tessitore (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) at first doubles.
 
Bourque had little trouble at first singles in her 6-0, 6-1 victory. Tessitore and Lexie Handel (Sparta, N.J.) each split their two opening singles sets and forced a tiebreaker, but fell just short of the victory.
 
Stevens drops to 5-2 on the year and will travel to Ithaca College on Sunday for a battle for first place in the Empire 8 conference.
