Jessica Bourque (Houma, La.) defeated the No. 15-ranked player in the Northeast region as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team fell to the University of Rochester, 8-1, on Sunday morning.
The Yellowjackets, ranked No. 15 in the Northeast region, improve to 8-4 with the win while the Ducks drop to 8-6.
Bourque defeated senior Frances Tseng (Rowland Heights, Calif.), ranked the No. 15 singles player in the Northeast, at first singles, 7-5, 6-4, for the Ducks' only victory.

Lisa Tessitore (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) lost to Tseng and sophomore Cara Genbauffe (Loveland, Ohio), the No. 14 Northeast doubles pairing, at first doubles, 8-5. Sophomore

Julia Guignard (Lowville, N.Y.) fell by the same score at second doubles while senior

Lexie Handel (Sparta, N.J.) dropped their match at third doubles, 8-3.
The Ducks did get close matches at second and fifth singles, with Tessitore falling 6-3, 6-2 at #2 and Handel being edged out 6-2, 6-4 at #5. Stewart managed a win at third singles, 6-0, 6-1, while Guignard and Tran were both swept at fourth and sixth singles, respectively.
The Ducks will end the spring on Wednesday, April 10 as they face SUNY New Paltz (10-3) at 4 p.m.
