At No.1, Carnegie Mellon used its experienced junior duo of Will Duncan and Christian Heaney to extend their lead with an 8-2 win over freshman Charles Drake and sophomore Matthew Heinrich. Stevens fought back at No. 2, but junior Bryce Beisswanger and sophomore Yuvraj Kumar edged the Ducks second doubles stalwarts of freshman Charles Drake and sophomore Matthew Heinrich, 8-6.

The Tartans continued their win streak in singles with Kumar's 6-0, 6-1 win over Drake at No. 4, followed by a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 5 in the all-freshmen battle between Kenny Zheng and Antonio Perich. Freshman Kunal Wadwani extended the lead to 6-0 with a win at No. 6, 6-1, 6-3 over Tisdale.

The Ducks dropped the next two, but Heinrich answered with a battle at No. 1 in a sophomore match-up with Abhishek Alla. Heinrich dropped the first set 7-5, but came back with a win in the second 6-2. The pair went back-and-forth in the third, before Alla pulled out the tiebreaker win 10-8.
