ITA Scholar-Athlete Status Awarded To Six From Men's Tennis

Hoboken, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced that six student-athletes from the Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis program earned Scholar-Athlete honors for their on and off-court efforts this season.

Elias Alkio, Samvid Andhare, Dhaivik Chenemilla, Johnny Haase, Max-William Kanz, and Renat Kramin earned ITA recognition thanks to their impressive performances in the classroom.

Student-athletes qualify as ITA Scholar-Athletes by being a varsity letter-winner, having a GPA of at least a 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year, and having been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including first through senior years).

To qualify for the All-Academic Team accolade – for which the Ducks did --, the program must have a team GPA of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter-winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

In 2026, 1,151 Division III Men's student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 147 Men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
