Women's Basketball Closes-Out Regular Season With Pair Of E8 Games

HOBOKEN, N.J. (February 19, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team will look to secure the No. 2 seed in the Empire 8 Conference championship this weekend with home games against Nazareth College and St. John Fisher College.

The Ducks (20-3, 12-2) enter Friday in sole possession of second place.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Friday's game against Nazareth will tip-off at 6 p.m. while Saturday's matchup with Fisher starts at 3 p.m. Both will take place at Canavan Arena.

CONFERENCE SCENARIOS

Stevens will clinch the second seed with two wins, or if Fisher loses to Hartwick College Friday night and the Ducks beat Nazareth. If Stevens and Fisher win on Friday, the winner of Saturday's matchup will determine the second seed.

Ithaca College clinched the top seed last weekend.

SECOND TIME AROUND

The Ducks beat Fisher on Jan. 9, 70-61 before beating Nazareth 69-52 the next day. Stevens is 4-1 in its last five games against both opponents.
