HOBOKEN, N.J. (August 21, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology Department of Athletics will hold its first ever fall alumni golf outing Monday, Oct. 19 at Black Bear Golf Course in Franklin, N.J. 

All proceeds from the event will go toward the development and advancement of Stevens athletic and recreational facilities, and all alumni are encouraged to attend. 

"We're excited about the alumni golf outing this fall and look forward to a wonderful day," director of athletics Russell Rogers said. "I invite all interested Stevens Alumni to come out and enjoy a beautiful course, time with friends and fellow alumni, and the opportunity to support Stevens Athletics and our student-athletes."

The outing costs $200 for an individual or $750 for a foursome, while tee or green sponsorships may be purchased for $100. The day will consist of breakfast prior to a 9 a.m. shotgun start, before concluding with lunch and a silent auction. 

The department enjoyed a highly successful 2014-15 year, culminating with an NCAA National Championship for men's volleyball in April in addition to six different conference championships and four individual national championships. Additionally, Stevens finished 21st out of over 400 institutions in the Division III Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings, a ranking based on program-wide athletic success.
