RESULTS
HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 19, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team fell to Ithaca College 9-0 Saturday in Empire 8 Conference play.
The loss dropped Stevens to 3-2, while Ithaca moved to 4-0.
Ithaca seized the early advantage with an 8-0 win over junior
Alexis Connor and senior
Julia Guignard, before adding to it with an 8-3 win at No. 2. The freshman team of
Victoria Piskarev and
Jill Hadwen fought back at No. 3 before ultimately falling 8-6.
The Bombers added to the lead with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 before clinching the match with wins at No. 5 and No. 6. With the match in-hand, the Bombers completed the sweep with wins at No. 2, 4, and 3 to close out the match.
The Ducks will take a break from E8 action Wednesday when they host Drew University at 3:30 p.m.
