HOBOKEN, N.J. (January 13, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team will be back in action this weekend for a pair of Empire 8 Conference games.
GAME INFOThe Ducks (8-4, 4-0 E8) will take on Houghton College Friday at 8 p.m. before clashing with Alfred University Saturday at 5 p.m. Both games will take place in Canavan Arena.
LAST TIME OUTStevens dropped a 64-59 overtime decision to The College of New Jersey Monday night. Senior
Kaitlyn Astel led the Ducks with 16 points in the setback.
SCOUTING HOUGHTONThe Highlanders (6-7, 0-4 E8) come into the contest having dropped its last four games. Elle Reed leads Houghton with 15.2 points per game, while Maisie Pipher averages a double-double of 11.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
ALFRED REPORTThe Saxons (1-12, 0-4 E8) also enter on a four game skid. Amanda Off and McKaylee Croll average 17.2 and 14.3 points per game respectively, while Off has also grabbed 107 rebounds.
FOUR WITH NINEThe Ducks have gotten balanced scoring thus far, with four players averaging 9.5 points a game or more. Astel leads the quartet with 14.1 ppg.
PAINT IT BROWNSophomore
Megan Brown leads the team with 9.6 rebounds per game, and is second on the team with 14 blocks. Brown is also second with a .451 field goal percentage.

Miranda Ripken is closing in on becoming the 11th member of the 1,000 point club. Ripken is just 88 points shy of the mark.

Dylan Krause hit her 100th career three-pointer Monday night, and is three blocks and five steals from reaching 100 in each category.
