HOBOKEN, N.J. (November 4, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's volleyball team will look to re-take its place atop the Empire 8 this weekend at the 2016 championship.
CHAMPIONSHIP INFO
Top-seeded Stevens will host fourth-seeded Fisher Saturday at noon, with Ithaca and Nazareth playing in the other semifinal at 2:30. Sunday's final will begin at noon, and all matches will he played at Canavan Arena.
LAST TIME OUT
Stevens enjoyed an impressive end to its schedule last weekend with three 3-0 wins at the NYS Regional Challenge.
DUCKS VS. THE FIELD
Stevens went 3-0 against the field this fall with all three wins coming by 3-0 margins. Both the Ithaca and Naz wins came in Hoboken, while the Fisher win came in Alfred.
DUCK DOMINANCE
Stevens dominated its E8 schedule this fall with all eight wins coming by a 3-0 mark. Stevens' last loss to an E8 team came to Ithaca in last season's E8 championship final.
HISTORY LESSON
Stevens is 11-4 in its history in the championship, and has hosted in each of the last five seasons. Four of those wins have come against Ithaca, while two have been against Naz.
