Women’s Basketball Closes Out Home Slate Tuesday

HOBOKEN, N.J. (February 15, 2016) –The Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team closes out the home regular season portion of its schedule with a game against Hartwick College Tuesday.

GAME DETAILS
Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Canavan Arena.

HOME COOKIN'
The Ducks have enjoyed a great deal of success at home this year, with a 9-1 record. The only setback was a 47-41 loss to then No. 11/13 Montclair State University on December 12.

LAST TIME OUT
Stevens enjoyed a 69-61 triumph over Utica College on Saturday, moving to 17-5 and 13-0 in conference play. Senior Kaitlyn Astel led the way with 17 points in the victory.

ASTEL 1000
With her 17 points on Saturday, Astel is closing in on joining classmate Miranda Ripken as new members of the 1,000 point club. Ripken became the 11th player in program history to reach the mark.

DOUBLE DOUBLE
Sophomore Megan Brown picked up her seventh double-double of the season Saturday. Brown registered 10 points and 11 boards in the win.

KNOW YOUR LIMITS
The Ducks and Hartwick allow the lowest points per game in the Empire 8 Conference, allowing 54.0 and 56.0 points per game respectively.

GLASS CLEANERS
The Ducks lead the E8 in offensive rebounds per game, averaging 16.0 in 22 games.

HAWK REPORT
The Hawks come in with a 9-12 overall record, and are 7-6 in the E8.
