HOBOKEN, N.J. (February 18, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball team (18-5, 14-0 Empire 8) travels to Rochester for a pair of roads games this weekend.
EVENT DETAILSThe Ducks will take on Nazareth College Friday at 8 p.m. before battling St. John Fisher College Saturday at 4 p.m.
WHAT'S AT STAKEWith two wins, Stevens will outright win the Empire 8 Conference regular season championship and earn the right to host the E8 Conference Championship next weekend.
LAST TIME OUTThe Ducks topped Hartwick College 69-41 Tuesday night, as senior
Kaitlyn Astel scored 22 points to lead all scorers.
NAZ REPORTThe Golden Flyers come with a 17-6 record, and are 10-4 in the E8. Lindsey Kelly leads Naz with 19.6 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game. Last time, it was Stevens who came out with 66-61 victory.
GONE FISHIN'St. John Fisher enters the game with a 20-3 record, and a 13-1 clip in E8 play. The lone E8 loss came at the hands of Stevens, as the Ducks defense allowed a season-low 35 points in a 51-35 victory.
KAIT THE GREATAstel became the 12th player in program history to score 1,000 career points, as she connected on a jumper seven seconds into the fourth quarter. Astel joined classmate
Miranda Ripken as the two players who have reached the mark this year.
SWAT PATROLSophomore
Brooke Stoddard was force in the paint for Ducks, swatting away three shots and pulling down four boards. Stoddard also chipped in two points and an assists.

Sydney Darby added seven points and three assists off the bench.
SHOOTING STARSThe team shot a blistering 47.6% from the field, including 51.72% in the second half.
