COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (January 7, 2017) – The No. 9 Stevens Institute of Technology wrestling team went a perfect 4-0 at the North/South Duals Saturday at Ursinus to continue its dominant season in duals.
Stevens topped No. 14 Delaware Valley 30-10, Cortland 37-10, Elizabethtown 30-12, and No. 11 Messiah 30-15 to move its record to 13-0. With the wins, Stevens extended its dual match win streak to 27.

Zach Wilhelm won by decision at 133 and 149 respectively to deadlock the match after four bouts, before sophomore No. 4
Thomas Poklikuha catapulted Stevens to the lead with an 11-3 major at 157.
Senior No. 8
Colin Navickas followed with a 17-0 technical fall win at 165, followed by an 8-7 decision for junior
Phil Woods at 174, An injury forfeit for Delaware Valley extended the Stevens lead at 184, before a forfeit at 197 solidified the win for Stevens.
Delaware Valley entered the match with four individuals ranked in the NWCA national rankings.

Rob Murray picked up his first win of the day with a 13-2 major at 125, followed by a fall in 55 seconds for Stanich at 133. Freshman
Dylan Van Sickell won by major at 141 in his first action of the afternoon, before Wilhelm edged Greg Chery 3-2 at 149.
Poklikuha and Navickas continued the dominant start with technical fall and decision wins respectively, followed by a forfeit at 184 and a pin for Kowal at 197 to seal the win.
Kowal picked up the pin in 4:03 in what was his team-leading 13th of the season.

Elizabethtown responded with a 7-1 decision at 157 and picked up wins at 197 and 285, but a forfeit at 165 followed by a pin from junior
Josh Smith at 174 and a 6-2 decision for senior
Danny Moore at 184 gave the Ducks more than enough points they needed for the win.
The pin was the third of the season for Smith, while Moore's win was his 14th.

Stanich built on Murray's 9-4 decision win with a pin in 5:37 at 133, before Van Sickell won for the third time with a tight 15-12 victory at 141. Wilhelm completed a perfect afternoon with an 8-0 win at 149, followed by an 11-3 victory for Poklikuha at 157.
Messiah captured wins in three of the final five bouts, but a pin in 2:20 for Woods at 174 and an 8-0 win for Kowal at 197 gave the Ducks enough points to pick up the nationally-ranked win.
