Short Story: The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team swept all three doubles matches to win its seventh straight match with an 8-1 over Utica Sunday in an Empire 8 Conference match.

How It Happened

Victories in all three doubles flights gave the Ducks and 3-0 lead.
Junior Sydney Zoretic and freshman Chelsea Braithwaite opened the scoring with an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Junior Jill Hadwen and sophomore Joilin Gomez also earned an 8-0 victory at third doubles.
The sophomore tandem of Julia Earl and Isabella Calandra completed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win over Utica's top pair of Sara Gribanoff and Bianca Bockhaus.
Sophomore Gabriella Tantillo bested Christa Pham (6-0, 6-1) at sixth singles and freshman Makenna Sargis shut out Madeline McIlnay at No. 5 sinles to give Stevens the victory.
Earl, Calandra and Zoretic also earned singles flight wins to complete the scoring for the Ducks.
Utica earned its only point of the match at third singles, where Lulu Zhang edged Braithwaite in a closely-contested match.
