How It Happened
  • Nazareth jumped out to a 2-1 lead after victories at second and third doubles.
  • Sophomores Julia Earl and Isabella Calandra opened the day with a victory at first doubles over Jackie Lisak and Rose Natoli.
  • It would be the only victory at doubles for the Ducks as junior Sydney Zoretic and freshman Chelsea Braithwaite and junior Jill Hadwen and freshman Makenna Sargis fell at second and third doubles.
  • Trailing by a point after doubles play, Stevens watched Nazareth claim victories at No. 4, No. 3 and No. 2 singles to claim the victory.
  • Earl earned a hard-fought three-set victory over Allison Friends to earn one of two points in singles play for the Ducks. Friends was named First Team All-Empire 8 in 2016.
  • Sargis took the final point of the afternoon for the Ducks, winning at No. 6 singles in her collegiate debut.
