HOBOKEN, N.J. (March 8, 2018) – The Stevens Institute of Technology softball team, under the direction of new head coach
Emily Kaczmarek, was scheduled to begin its 2018 season on Thursday, but the recent Nor'easter has changed its plan. Instead, the Ducks will open the season over spring break with six games in Arizona.
Last year's team won 24 games and hit some high water-marks for the program. The Ducks were ranked in the national Top-25 poll for the first time ever, and won their first-ever postseason game during the Empire 8 Tournament.
Stevens sports information stopped by practice to talk with captains
Christine LaRochelle,
Farryl Groder and
Corinne Loncar about their preseason training and the upcoming year. You can see the video
here.
The Ducks are now scheduled to begin the season on March 13 against the University of Dubuque at noon in Tuscon.
