WEST POINT, N.Y. (January 19, 2019) — Senior
Julie McEldoon led the Ducks with a 16-2 record at epee as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's fencing team defeated all opponents to walk away with the first-place trophy at the Army Invitational in West Point, New York on Saturday.
The Ducks defeated Hunter College (27-0), The City College of New York (26-1), University of Detroit Mercy (25-2), Cleveland State University (22-5), Drew University (20-7) and The United States Naval Academy (24-3), improving their overall record to 12-3.
Every women's fencer for the Ducks finished with a winning record for the day. Seven fencers went undefeated while another seven won more than 10 individual bouts.
Epee
- Junior Teny Odiami and senior Amanda Choy finished 14-4 and 11-2, respectively.
- Freshman Christine Chan went undefeated with a 5-0 record.
