Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (March 17, 2019) – Freshman
Sutton Dole registered his first collegiate homerun, but five runs in the third inning by the Builders proved to be the difference as the Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team fell to The Apprentice School 9-2 Sunday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium.
With the bases loaded in the bottom of the third inning, Brian Fritzinger scored after Maxwell Burcham. Next at bat, Thomas Packert walked to load the bases once again. Cody Hendrickson then hit a grand slam to give the Builders a 5-0 lead.

In the sixth, Apprentice tacked on another run when Dalton Dye scored following an error by the Ducks.
Dole homered the left field in the top of the seventh inning to give Stevens their second run of the game. The Builders answered in the bottom of the inning when Burcham scored after a Ducks' error.
Apprentice added two runs in the eighth after Gevin Nixon singled to send Lou Picolo home. Burcham then reached base on a fielder's choice that allowed Mark Watts to score.

Sutton Dole with his three hits, including his homerun, particularly stood out. Michael Firssora settled in and gave us a nice outing in relief."
Frissora struck out three batters in 4.1 innings pitched for Stevens. Andrew Castine walked away with his second win of the season after pitching eight innings and striking out 10.
