Kayleigh Kubit Becomes Eighth Foiliest in Program History to Reach 100 Career Wins

TEANECK, N.J. (February 8, 2020) – Sophomore Kayleigh Kubit became just the eighth foil fencer in program history to win 100 career bouts and helped the Stevens Institute of Technology women's fencing team to a 4-1 record in the Fairleigh Dickinson University Invitational Saturday.

The Ducks defeated Wagner University 18-9, Tufts University 16-11, Long Island University 21-6 and Lafayette College 20-7 before narrowly falling 14-13 against New York University.

Stevens now has 27 team victories on the season which is just six wins from tying the program record for single season wins in program history.

Individually, freshman Claire McNeill led the way for the epee squad with a 10-4 record while fellow freshman Leigha Capra finished 9-2.
