ANNVILLE, Pa. (March 16, 2020) – For the third time this season and the second time in three weeks, Stevens Institute of Technology men's volleyball senior
David Lehman was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for his solid efforts on the court, the league announced Monday.
In the Ducks' lone contest of the week, Lehman put down 12 total kills while playing in just two sets in a sweep of Misericordia University as he earned a conference award for the 11th time in his career.
"As I've said before, Dave is one of the best players we've had in program history," head coach
Patrick Dorywalski said. "We're lucky to have him as a part of our program."
Lehman was extremely efficient in the victory as he racked up those 12 kills on just 14 total swings and did not commit a single error for an .857 attack percentage while also adding three blocks.
The 2019 United Volleyball Conference Player of the Year now has 1,258 career kills to sit fourth in program history, just 126 behindÂ
Gabe Shankweiler for third place all-time.
Additionally, Lehman ranks 11th in all of NCAA Division III with 4.13 kills per set and fourth in the MAC with a .321 attack percentage this season.
