HOBOKEN, N.J. (February 18, 2021)  – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's tennis team released its 2021 competition schedule Thursday. The calendar features a total of 10 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) matches against both MAC Freedom and MAC Commonwealth opponents, beginning on March 20th. Five of the 10 matches are set to take place in the friendly confines of the Stevens Tennis Courts, where Stevens is 42-17 since 2010.

"We are excited to get back together as a team," said head coach Arik Zeevy. "We are thankful for all the work that is being done by our sports medicine staff, athletic administration and the MAC to make a Spring season possible."

Stevens' 10-match slate will be played between Mar. 20 and May 1. The schedule culminates in a three-round postseason beginning on May 4.

The Ducks open the 2021 campaign at home, welcoming Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Campus to Hoboken on Mar. 20. It will be the first meeting between the teams since Sept. 2007, which saw the Ducks post their second 9-0 victory in four all-time matches.

The lone matchup against a MAC Commonwealth school takes place on Mar. 27, when the Ducks head to Reading, Pennsylvania for a tilt with Alvernia University. It is believed to be the first meeting between the programs.

The turn of the calendar to April sees Stevens take on Eastern University (TBA) in Hoboken, while also making a trip to Glenside, Pennsylvania for a matchup with Arcadia University on Apr. 10. It is believed to be the first meeting with each program.

The Ducks welcome Misericordia University to Hoboken on Apr. 14 for another first-time matchup before a non-conference matchup with FDU-Florham (Apr. 17) in Madison and a MAC Freedom contest at Lycoming College on Apr. 20.

The final two home contests take place on Apr. 24 and Apr. 28 against DeSales University and King's College, respectively. Both meetings will be the first in the all-time series.

The regular season closes on May 1st, with what is expected to be a highly anticipated matchup with Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre. The Colonels have won 13 straight MAC Freedom team titles and the meeting will be the first since Apr. 2018.

The postseason begins on May 4 and culminates with the MAC Freedom Championship on May 8.
