FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (October 1, 2023) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team totaled 13 victories and wrapped up play at the 2023 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Regional, hosted by the University of Mary Washington.
Led by four victories from junior
Matt Luzzi, the Ducks amassed nine singles victories, while juniors
Vivek Harinarayan and
Sebastian Wroe collected two of the Ducks' four doubles wins.
Joining Luzzi in securing wins in singles competition were senior
Aashi Kulakarni, sophomore
Max-William Kanz, first-year
Samvid Andhare, Wroe (2) and Harinarayan. Joining the tandem of Wroe and Harinarayan in posting doubles wins were the team of Kulakarni and junior
Olof Persson and the team of Andhare and classmate
Tristan Wroe. Luzzi's four singles victories came in the B3 bracket, while Kulakarni, Harinarayan and Kanz each won a match in the championship draw. After an opening-round bye Persson and Kulakarni won a second-round match in the championship doubles bracket.
