POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (November 12, 2023) – First-year epeeist Noah Tumibay finished with a team- and career-high 12 wins to lead No. 5 Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing Sunday at the Vassar College Invitational at the Walker Field House.

Sophomore James Glover (foil), senior Christopher Stone (sabre) and first-year Cyrus Erachshaw (sabre) each added eight wins for the Ducks, who went 2-5 on the day that featured a slate of teams featuring a pair of ranked opponents and four Division I squads. Erachshaw's performance also set a new career best. The 2-5 record evened Stevens' season record at 7-7.

The Ducks began the day with a 17-10 victory to avenge the Rangers' victory over Stevens earlier in the season. Narrow 15-12 setbacks against No. 6 Vassar and Cornell followed before the Ducks faced No. 11 Yale for the first time since 2011 with the Bulldogs earning an 18-9 decision. A hard-fought 14-13 loss to Sacred Heart came next before the Ducks routed Yeshiva 26-1 for the Ducks' 35th straight triumph over the Maccabees. A 17-10 defeat at the hands of Wagner College closed out the event. Yale is ranked in the United States Fencing Coaches Association Poll for all programs, while Vassar, and Stevens, are ranked in the Division III-specific poll.

Graduate student James Morris went a perfect 3-0 in his season debut, while junior Colin Mahoney earned five wins in his first dual meet of the year.
