ANNVILLE, Pa. (March 13, 2023) – First-year
Phillip Bone of the No. 1 Stevens Institute of Technology men's volleyball team was named Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The award is the first career weekly accolade for the Saint Louis, Missouri native and the third for the men's volleyball program this season.Â
Bone totaled 15 kills on 28 attacks with just five errors (.357 hitting percentage) as the nationally-ranked Ducks defeated conference foe Widener and No. 9 NYU. Bone dropped seven kills and had a team-high nine points in the opening match against Widener. He was also outstanding against NYU as he finished with eight kills and matched a career-high with ten digs. Additionally, Bone finished with five service aces and a pair of assists across the two matches.Â
