BOSTON, Mass. (January 27, 2024) – Senior
Jake Aylmer of the Stevens Institute of Technology men's indoor track and field team moved to the top of the Middle Atlantic Conference standings in the mile Saturday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University at its Track and Tennis Center.
Aylmer completed the mile run in 4:16.61 to set a new personal best and move to first place in the conference (with a converted time of 4:19.90 to account for the banked track) by just over five seconds. The time also ranks 11th in the All-Atlantic Region and fourth in the Metro Region. It was Aylmer first mile of the season and the Haddon Township, New Jersey native has trimmed exactly 14 seconds off his first collegiate mile time in 2022.Â
