Men's Swimming Opens Up At NYU Fall Invitational

New York, N.Y. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's swim team competed at the NYU Fall Invitational on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Stevens placed fifth in the opening event of the day, as Leo Timmerman, Cade Cermak, Jack Martinek, and Will Stibor grabbed fifth with a time of 1:28.1 in the 200-freestyle relay. Gailen Davis, Deo Bove, Angel Velasquez, and Andy Kolecki were just behind them, finishing in 1:31.33.

Bove notched a point in the 500 free, touching the wall in 5:02.24. He clipped teammate Ryan Ward, who clocked in at 5:02.87. Edward Platonov took ninth in the 200-IM in 2:00.08, while Velasquez (2:03.47) and Ethan Emerton (2:05.77) added points. Stibor placed sixth in the 50-free, recording a time of 21.73. He missed first by .52 seconds. The Ducks concluded the day with a seventh-place mark in the 400-medley relay, with Ward, Lukas Mikulenas, Martinek, and Cermak registering a time of 3:38.67.
