Bethlehem, Pa. – Brandon Kiefer sits third in the heptathlon after four events as the Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team opened up the Fast Times Before Finals Meet.
No team score was recorded as the Ducks battled competitors from Kutztown, Stockton, and Lehigh.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Kiefer has totaled 2571 points, trailing Gideon Coprivnicar of Lehigh and Joe Jardin, who is unattached. Kiefer had the second quickest time in the 60-meter, clocking in at 7.28. He was third in the long jump by hitting 6.32m, missing second by .01m. He took fifth in the shot put (11.38m) and tied for fourth in the high jump (1.72m).
James Johnson (1944 points) and
Connor Efinger (1926 points) also competed and sit eighth and ninth, respectively. Johnson was ninth in the 60-meter (8.18) and shot put (10.09m) and 10th in the long jump (5.23m) and high jump (1.54m). Efinger tied for third in the high jump (1.75m) and placed ninth in the long jump (5.62m) and 10th in both the 60-meter (8.18) and shot put (7.31m).
