Nick Reznick finished with a season-high nine victories to lead the Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing team went a perfect 4-0 Sunday at the MACFA Group B vs. Group C event at Canavan Arena.

Myles Reda each added six for the Ducks, who improved to 19-15 on the year and to 10-3 in MACFA play.
The Ducks began the day with a 24-3 victory over Navy before topping Haverford 16-11. After the break, Stevens bested Maryland 24-3 before capping the day with a 20-7 triumph over William and Mary. The victories extended the Ducks' winning streak against Navy to 12, to nine against Haverford, to four against Maryland and to 13 against William & Mary.
Competing in Canavan Arena for the second time this season, Reznick, a foilist from Marlboro, New Jersey, scored a victory in each of the four duals. The second-year fencer was a perfect 3-0 against both Navy and William & Mary, while posting a 2-1 record against Haverford and a 1-0 ledger against Maryland. It was Reznick's first time leading the squad in victories this season. The victories moved Reznick to 28-31 on the year and to 85-84 for his career.
The Rundown
- The Ducks began the day with a strong performance against Navy. The sabre squad posted the first of their two shutouts on the day, with Woodward, Stone and first-year Cyrus Erachshaw each going 3-0. Foil produced an 8-1 margin with Reznick and classmate James Glover each posting a 3-0 record. Epee closed out the win with a 7-2 decision with junior Nicholas Smith leading the efforts with a 3-0 mark.
- Against Haverford, the Ducks won two of the three weapon battles to earn the dual victory. Sabre again led the way, going 8-1 against the Fords, with Woodward and junior Colin Mahoney each going 3-0. Epee claimed a 6-3 margin, with sophomore Andrew Yurovchak pacing the group with a pair of wins against zero defeats. Haverford produced a 7-2 margin at foil to produce the Ducks' final margin of victory, with Reznick recording both of Stevens' wins.
- Sabre posted its second shutout of the day against Maryland, with Stone, Reda and Kometani each winning all three of their matches. Foil had a strong showing against the Terps, going 8-1, with sophomore Aden Vishnevsky leading the way with three wins. First-year Patrick Nohilly picked up the first three wins of his collegiate career to lead the epee group to a 7-2 weapon victory.
- Finally, foil posted the final shutout of the day with a 9-0 margin over William & Mary with Reznick, Vishnevsky and first-year Liam Thomas all going 3-0. Reda and Kometani were perfect (3-0) to boost the sabre team, while first-year Riley Parker went 2-0 at epee, although William & Mary ultimately scored a 6-3 weapon victory.
- In terms of individual victories, Glover, Thomas and Erachshaw each totaled five wins, while Parker had four. Nohilly, Yurovchak, Morris and Mahoney each totaled three wins, while first-year Noah Tumibay, graduate student Patrick Pan and sophomore Matthew Kemenosh each had two. Junior Rocco Mathews and graduate student Jack Corridon each won once to round out the Ducks' victories on the day.
- With their performances today, Stone, Yurovchak, Smith and Mathews are each less than 10 wins away from their 100th career victory.
Top Performers
- For the day, all three weapons finished with outstanding records. The sabre group was nearly perfect, dropping just two bouts on the day in going 34-2 (.944 winning percentage), while foil went 27-9 (.750). Not to be outdone, the epee team went 23-13 (.639) in helping the Ducks combine for an 84-24 record. The Ducks' 0.778 winning percentage Sunday surpassed the team's mark from the Group B round robin event as the top result for the season.
- Collectively, the Ducks dropped just two weapon duals on the day, falling to Haverford 7-2 at foil and ending the day with a 6-3 setback to Wiliam & Mary at epee.

- Stevens returns to the strips in one week's time, returning to Temple University for the Owls' annual invitational. The Ducks will face four Division I opponents, along with Johns Hopkins to wrap up the regular season.
