NEWTOWN, Pa. (April 16, 2024) – Senior Gus Vickers from the Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team has been named MAC Freedom Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

It is the fifth weekly award of Vickers' career. It is his first award of the spring and his second of the year.

Vickers finished first at the Garden State Collegiate Classic, wrapping up play 1-under for the tournament. After shooting an opening round 73, Vickers used the improved conditions Sunday to trim three strokes off his score to finish 2-under 70. He carded seven birdies and was the lone player in the field to finish under par.
