Wayne, N.J. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf "B" team finished tied for second at the Pioneer Spring Invitational on Thursday afternoon.
Rutgers-Camden won the event with a +24, 304, as Stevens tied with Delaware Valley at +33. The host Pioneers rounded out the team scoring with a +59, while Purchase College sent three individuals to the competition.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Dillon Kim led the Ducks with a solo fourth-place finish at +7. Kim was one stroke better (+3) on the back nine and registered a birdie on the par-three 17th.
Bryce Karty was one behind Kim and tied for fifth with a 78. The first-year matched Kim with a 38 on the back nine and recorded his lone birdie on the par-four 14th.
Alex Carey,
Brock Dickson, and
Luke Snyder all tied for seventh at +9 (79). Carey and Dickson tallied 39s on the front nine, with Carey recording a birdie on the par-four fourth. Snyder shaved three strokes off his front nine and registered a birdie on the ninth hole.
Udyat Sarangdevot carded an 81 and finished 14th overall. The first-year had eight pars on his day, including four straight on holes 3-6. Stevens also had a pair of individuals compete, as
Maxime Debets shot an 83 and
Punn Chittaratlert an 84. Debets birdied the fourth hole, while Chittaratlert tallied six pars over the 18 holes.
