TEMPE, Ariz. (July 24, 2024) – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced that six student-athletes from the Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis program have earned Scholar-Athlete honors.
Seniors Aashi Kulakarni and Andrew He joined juniors Vivek Harinarayan and Olof Persson, sophomore Max-William Kanz, and first-year Johnny Haase in being recognized by the ITA thanks to their impressive performances in the classroom.
Kulakarni and He each collected their fourth ITA Scholar-Athlete awards. Person and Harinarayan are now three-time recipients, Kanz earns his second, and Haase records the first of his career.
Additionally, the Ducks again earned All-Academic Team honors after finishing the 2023-24 academic year with a 3.757 cumulative grade-point average.

For the team to qualify as for the All-Academic Team accolade, the program must have a team GPA of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form and all varsity letter-winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
In 2024, 1,079 Division III male student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 129 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
