Waynesboro, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team placed ninth at the Mason-Dixon Classic on Sunday.
Stevens closed the two-day invite with a +32 608, shooting eight shots better on Sunday. McDaniel was leading the way at the time of publication, as Gettysburg was +7 in second. Dickinson and Franklin & Marshall were in the in clubhouse at +8 and +9 respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Arav Tank (T-41
, +9 153 )led the way on with a two-over 74, highlighted by a crisp, one-under 35 on the front nine that featured birdies on the par-five first and par-four ninth. Tank added birdies on the par-four 11
th and par-four 14
th to highlight his round.
Bryce Karty (T-13, +2 146) continued his strong play, posting a one-over 73 for the Ducks' low round of the day. Karty opened with a 37 on the front, making birdies on the par-five first and par-three seventh, before playing the back nine in even-par 36 behind a clean stretch of seven pars and a birdie on the par-five 15th. He totaled 10 pars and three birdies to card consecutive +1 days for the first-year.
Sebastian Beaver (T-36, +8 152) fired a four-over 76, showing consistency across both nines with matching 38s. He birdied the par-four 16
th and recorded 11 pars on the day.
Jack Harris (T-62, +15 159) finished with a five-over 77, recording birdies on the par-four ninth and par-four 13
th. Harris played holes 7-14 at -2, picking six pars during the hot stretch.
Udyat Sarangdevot (T-62, +15 159) rounded out the lineup with a 79, tallying 11 pars on the round.

- Several teams Stevens faced concluded last season ranked in the No.100, including McDaniel (78), Gettysburg (16), Franklin & Marshall (51), York (68), Shenadoah (50), and Swarthmore (100).
