Annville, Pa. – First-year
Jack Harris won both Rookie of the Year and Golfer of the Year honors and
Charles Papendick continued an unprecedented Coach of the Year streak as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom revealed major year-end honors following the conference championships last weekend.
Harris became the first MAC Freedom golfer since Manhattanville's Juan Ayala in 2011 to take home both Rookie and Golfer of the Year after finishing 12 strokes ahead of the field, carding a four-under 140 over the two-day, 36-hole event.
Harris bogeyed just four of the 36 holes and made birdie or better on seven, playing the par-five 7
th at three-under and the par-five 13
th at two-under across both days. Collectively, he played all par-fours at +2 (no one else played them better than +6) and the par-fives at -5 (no one else played them better than -2).
Papendick took home a sixth straight Coach of the Year honor – he's won the award every season Stevens has been eligible since joining the conference prior to the 2019-20 season.
