Williamsburg, Va. – Udyat Sarangdevot shot a 5-over 76, leading the Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team to a 10^th place standing through the opening day of The Melee at Fords Colony Country Club.

Christopher Newport (+5, 289), Bridgewater (+8, 292), and McDaniel (+13, 297) were the three teams to crack 300 total strokes as teams..

FROM THE COURSE
The first-year Sarangdevot was the only Duck to birdie multiple holes, carding a pair of 2's on the par-three 8^th and 14^th; he also birdied seven holes on a back nine he played at even par, finishing tied for 26th.

Junior Noah Eide parred five holes on the front nine and birdied two on the back nine, carding 79 (+8) for the Day, tying for 41st place.

First-year Bryce Karty played holes 1-through-4 at one-under with three pars and a birdie at the par-five 4^th, going out in 39 (+3) and finishing his day with an eight-over 79, tying Eide for 41st.

Junior Dillon Kim finished his day at 11-over (82), parring nine holes, including five on the back nine, tying for 50th.

First-year Luke Snyder parred eight holes, including five on the front nine, shooting 86 (+15) for the round for 55th.

UP NEXT
The Ducks will wrap the event tomorrow, then be off from official competition until after the New Year for the Spring portion of their 2025-26 season.
