Reading, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field team turned in several personal and season-best marks at the Alvernia Plex Shootout on Saturday.
With no team score, Stevens faced off against MAC foes Alvernia, Arcadia, Delaware Valley, FDU-Florham, Hood, King's, and York.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Ethan Stallone excelled in the men's 60m hurdles, winning the prelims with a personal best of 8.54 and finishing second in the finals with an even faster personal best of 8.45, earning a new '25 DIII No. 71 ranking.
William Ladd placed third in the prelims with a personal best of 8.89. In the men's mile,
Liam Concannon secured third place with a time of 4:30.37, while
Connor Efinger claimed third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.86 meters. The men's 200m saw
Kyle Savino finish second in 23.3 seconds, a standout sprint performance.
In the men's 800m, Daniel Jutras claimed first place with an impressive time of 1:58.87, while
Enrico Parrella secured fifth place with a personal best of 2:00.72. Matt Hodorowski also achieved a personal best, finishing 12th with a time of 2:03.81. In the men's 5000m,
Bryan Onody led the team with a sixtg-place finish and a personal best of 15:59.45, followed closely by
Jake Porco in seventh with a season-best 16:03.07. Joseph Ruben (ninth, 16:18.24) and
Cillian Griffin (10th, 16:27.20) both recorded personal bests.
In the field events,
Brandon Kiefer set a personal best in the high jump, clearing 1.78 meters to place fifth. In the men's pole vault,
Cullen Grady achieved a season-best mark of 3.32 meters, finishing 17th. The shot put featured strong efforts from
Cooper Kinsley, who placed ninth with 11.73 meters, and
Gabriel Kovach, who set a season best with 9.92 meters. In the weight throw, Kinsley again led the team, placing ninth with a throw of 12.57 meters.
