Caroline Tighe claimed first place in the high jump as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field team sits in fourth place after the first day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The Ducks have 26 points, as Widener sits in first place with 42 points. Lebanon Valley (33 points) and King's (29.5) also are in front of Stevens following the first day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the field events,
Allie Canciani finished sixth in the high jump at 1.55m, while
Caroline Tighe also placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.07m. The weight throw saw
Anacarolina Ventura leading the team with an 11th-place finish at 13.5m, followed by
Claire Deatrick (27th, 10.77m),
Michelle Elias Flores (31st, 10.31m),
Breona Pizzuta (36th, 9.14m), and
Josephine Lulaj (39th, 8.47m).
