CHESTER, Pa. – With a small-scale squad at the event, the Stevens Institute of Technology women's track and field team competed in five events at the Widener Final Qualifer on Monday, May 12, less than two weeks out from NCAA Championships.
Caroline Tighe took fourth in the high jump (third among non-D1 competitors) with a leap of 1.58 meters.
Ashley Muliawan placed ninth in the discus with a top throw of 38.64 meters (126 feet, nine inches) just four feet shy of her career-best throw from last May, and posted a top hammer throw of 39.5 meters (129.7 feet); Lillian Lovelsmith threw 29.24 meters (96 feet) in the event.
Nina Burden and
Taylor Enes ran the 800 meters in 2:21.93 and 2:28.00, respectively, and
Samantha Rozek finished the 5,000 meters in 20:14.39.
