Staten Island, NY – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track & field competed at the Big Apple Invite on Saturday afternoon.
The meet, which saw no team score, featured Division I opponents as well Division III foes Cortland, Widener, and Salisbury.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Brandon Kiefer earned the highest team placement, securing second place in the pole vault with a mark of 3.98m. In the mile,
Enrico Parrella led the team with a fifth-place finish in 4:23.26, followed by
Liam Concannon in sixth (4:26.45) and Daniel Jutras in eighth (4:28.1). Kiefer also excelled in the long jump, placing sixth with a leap of 6.41m.
Ryan Paradine delivered a solid performance in the 3,000-meter run, finishing eighth in 8:55.43. In the 800-meter,
Mick Barbi placed 14th (2:01.4), while
Matthew Hodorowski finished 16th (2:02.4).
Cillian Griffin led the team in the 3,000-meter, placing 15th (9:14.29), followed closely by
James Adamo in 16th (9:25.14).
Cooper Kinsley had the best throw in the weight throw, placing 16th with 12.55m, while he also finished 16th in the shot put with 11.79m. Other notable performances included
James Johnson placing 18th in the long jump (5.17m) and
Brandon Fox taking 19th in the weight throw (12.49m).
