Track & Field Teams Collect USTFCCCA Academic Accolades

Hoboken, N.J. (July 23, 2025) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's and women's track & field teams were recognized for their academic excellence by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
 
Both programs earned All-Academic Team honors, with the women's team posting a 3.735 cumulative GPA—ranking 12th among all Division III programs. The men's team recorded a 3.557 GPA, marking the 14th consecutive season that Stevens has been honored by the national organization for success both on the track and in the classroom. To qualify as an All-Academic Team, programs must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher through the most recent semester or quarter.
 
In addition to the team honors, Caroline Tighe and Kyle Savino were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete Team. Savino recorded the second-fastest time in the Metro Region during the outdoor season, clocking a 47.89 in the 400-meter dash at the MAC Championships. Tighe captured the AARTFC Outdoor Regional Championship in the high jump with a mark of 1.65 meters and posted a season-best 1.66 meters at the Danny Curran Invitational.
 
To be eligible for USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 and achieve one of the following: rank among the top 50 individuals or top 35 relay teams on the TFRRS performance list for the indoor or outdoor season, or be accepted into the NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship.
