Staten Island, NY – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's track & field competed at the Big Apple Invite on Saturday afternoon.
The meet, which saw no team score, featured Division I opponents as well Division III foes Cortland, Widener, and Salisbury.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Anacarolina Ventura secured the highest team placement, finishing 12th in the weight throw with a mark of 11.88m. In the 3,000-meter run,
Fionna Feerick led the way, placing 16th with a time of 10:53.05, followed closely by
Kaitlyn Adams in 17th (11:00.01) and
Isabella Gabay in 18th (11:07.94).
Allie Canciani had the best 800-meter time for the team, finishing 19th in 2:29.73, while
Nina Burden placed 21st (2:30.08).
Ventura also excelled in the shot put, securing 17th place with a throw of 9.54m, with
Michelle Elias Flores finishing 19th (9.1m).
Claire Deatrick contributed with a 16th-place finish in the weight throw (10.45m), while additional efforts came from Lillian Lovelsmith,
Josephine Lulaj, and
Breona Pizzuta in both the shot put and weight throw.
