Men's Golf Takes Seventh at The Ruckus

Williamsburg, Va. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team placed seventh at The Ruckus over Saturday and Sunday.

After shooting a 326 in Round One, Stevens saw an 11-stroke improvement on Sunday, scoring a 315. Drew won the event wiht +4 as Bowdoin was second with a +11.


HOW IT HAPPENED
Sebastian Beaver was the top finisher for Stevens, finishing in a tie for 25th place at a +10. He had five consecutive pars on the front nine on holes two through six before picking up five additional pars on the back nine.

Dillon Kim and Alex Carey tied for 42nd with a +18 score. Kim was +7 on Sunday, with Carey shooting +9. Kim recorded two birdies, opening the day with a birdie on the first hole while adding one on the par-five 14th. The sophomore closed 
out the day with three straight pars to end the round. Carey also had a birdie on 14 while adding one on the sixth hole. Carey was +1 on the back nine after notching six pars over the nine holes.

Arav Tank was just behind them with a +21 and tied for 49th. Tank was impressive on the back nine, carding an even-par 36. Over the last four holes, Tank shot two-under and tallied consecutive birdies on 16 and 17. Punn Chitaratlert shot a +31 and shaved 17 shots off his round from Saturday. The junior registered his lone birdie on the par-five third hole.

The Ducks return to action on Saturday, competing in the McDaniel College Spring Invitational.
